Harmeet Kaur Virdee (she/they) is a double bassist, bandleader, composer, jazz administrator, and music educator based in Surrey BC. She is currently a student in Capilano University’s Arts and Entertainment Management program, and has graducated from the Performance Prep at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music (VSO SoM). She has studied with established jazz musicians such as Jodi Proznick, Miles Black, and Noah Franche-Nolan.

 

In addition to performing Harmeet is a very passionate teacher. She teaches a variety of ages from preschool to seniors at the VSO SoM, The Stage Musical Theatre Academy, Queens Academy of the Arts, and her home studio. Harmeet enjoys working with students of all ages as they explore the wonders of music and looks forward to meeting you.
